U Street Music Hall hosts a Japan Relief Fundraiser featuring DJ sets from Tittsworth, Reed vs. Reed (Reed Rothchild and Obeyah) and Uncle Jesse.
On March 11th, a massive 9.0-magnitude earthquake disrupted the northeastern coast of Japan – creating extremely destructive tsunami waves which hit Japan just minutes after the earthquake. Both the earthquake and tsunami have caused extensive and severe damage in Northeastern Japan, leaving thousands of people confirmed dead, injured or missing, and millions more affected by the lack of water, electricity and transportation (Google Crisis Response, March 2011). Patrons’ donation of a minimum of $10, will go directly to the Red Cross in their efforts to aid Japan in this time of crisis.
