I’ve been writing Mixtape Monday for Head of Rothchild since September 2011 and have been posting mixes on Cool Breezy for even longer, so I’ve been all up in your musical journeys for some time now. I know some of yall been seein’ the hints around The World Wide Intertron and have been anxiously awaiting , but if ya don’t know, Plymouth Prowler Boys is the latest movement from The Greatest City in America. Also known as, Uncle Jesse to the Nth Degree, lettin’ yall know what the good word is.
If the exclusive white girl “Plymouth Prowler Boys” drops don’t hook you from the beginning, maybe it’ll be the smooth sounds of Drake, the falsetto of Usher, or the full-on ignorance of 2 Chainz. I mean, if you were ridin’ around and gettin’ it chest naked in a Plymouth Prowler, this might could be something you’d be listening to. Cool-Brezzy who is ran by our very own Stoopgirl and Denman who is also under the H.O.R. umbrella. They have raised the bar for throwing parties by bringing DJ’s that give you more knuck for your buck. This month they bring in Dirty South Joe and Nadus and my favorite duo Uncle Jesse. If I got to sell you on that lineup then you’re probably the type of person who tags themselves on Facebook GLOW club photos. If you don’t know but are on the fence about checking it out, trust me it will be worth it.

Sup party people! Stoop here with your Mixtape Monday Mayhem. Today I’m revisiting one of the very first Uncle Jesse mixes EVER, “Yard Laser”. Yall know my homies in Uncle Jesse are some of my favorite DJs in Baltimore right now. Their extensive knowledge of music allows them to get any crowd rockin’ – from hyper Baltimore club dancers to old house heads to young ravers – they’ve got it like that. Not only do they possess the most supreme DJ skillz, but they are also considered to be amongst the top echelon of Baltimore’s most handsome scholars.
Now onto “Yard Laser”. It’s probably one of the most cohesive mixes I’ve listened to in a while. While it’s a lot of fun to genre-hop sometimes, “Yard Laser” features a bunch of tracks that remain within a similar vein of electro and club music, so it truly sounds like one solid journey from beginning to end. You’ll have a chance to enjoy timeless classics like old school Nadastrom to one of the first tracks Uncle Jesse ever produced. Even though “Yard Laser” was mixed years ago (probably before I was even old enough to get into the clubs – ha), it’s gonna keep you movin’ like it was hot off the press. Grab this mix, rage like you’ve never raged before, and don’t be afraid to take it back for another go.
