Mixtape Monday ft. “Baltimore Club Mix CD” by Supa Dave

Uncle Jesse
What up, yall!  It’s ya lil homie, Stoop Girl, here with some mid-day mixtape madness!  I know Mondays are like, supa hard and all but I’m here to save you from killin’ all your coworkers.  I present to you, Mixtape Monday, where I’ll be spotlighting my favorite mixes that will be sure to get you through the week, or at least until lunchtime.  Feel free to hit me up in the comments or email me at heycoolbreezy@gmail.com to send me love notes or tip me off to some good mixes.  Original productions are also welcome!  But as always, it’s gotta be Stoop-Approved.  I only swim in the dope end of the music pool, ya feel me?!

So, for the first edition of Mixtape Monday, I’ve got this sick Baltimore club mix from a long lost member of Baltimore’s DJ and production team, Uncle Jesse.  Right now, Uncle Jesse consists of Quincy and Cian, and you’ve probably seen them running shit at those massive Steez Promo raves or gettin’ real slow and sexy at Dave Nada’s Moombahton Massives.  But back in 2006-2007, they were a tripod of dopeness with another member known as Supa Dave (the dude in the middle of the photo above).  He’s not DJing out in the scene too much anymore but he’ll always be considered Uncle Jesse fam.  Either way, the kid is certified-dope.

Grab the Henny!!!  With this mix, I want you to have a little taste of my city of Baltimore, The (self-proclaimed) Greatest City in America.  If I were to introduce somebody new to the sounds of Baltimore, I would most likely start with this mix.  In fact, they should probably start handing this out when you enter the city limits.  For now, just consider this “Required Listening”.  Supa Dave curated this mix back in 2003 but this shit still holds up as if it were just made yesterday.  It’s pumpin’ all the necessary classics, like DJ Technics’ “Single Ladies”, DJ Class’ “Tear Da Club Up”, and Rod Lee’s “Feel Me”.  If you’re already familiar with Baltimore club music, this mix is touting a lot of songs you’ve probably heard before.  But now you’ve got all your favorite Baltimore club tracks all in one place.  Supa Dave’s mixing is supa tight and in true Baltimore club fashion, the bass is knockin’!!  Check the tracklist and you’ll see a ton of Rod Lee and Technics tracks and bit less of Scottie B representation but it’s all good because this shit still bangs.  This Baltimore Club Mix is gonna give you way more energy than those dumbass 5 Hour Energy Shots and this is free so trust me when I say you need this in your collection.  It’s for the greater good!!  So download it, tell your friends, and stay tuned for next week.

Moombacon Massive

Exciting news!  Nobody died!  But I heard super high cholesterol and clogged arteries are silent killers and something you won’t discover until it’s way too late and you’re lying on a cold hospital stretcher surrounded by strange doctors who have no idea what to do with your fat, dying heart.  With that being said, it wouldn’t be Reed Rothchild’s Birthday Celebration if it didn’t include twenty-two pounds of bacon, sixty pieces of assorted fried chicken parts, and racks on racks on raaacks…of ribs.  I made it out of Moombacon Massive alive with great news:  bacon, fried chicken, and ribs all taste better when they are consumed in the club.  Just as I thought.  Thank the Holy Rothchild.

Made from 100% Douchebag Tears

Just in case any of us were concerned with a healthy heart, which I doubt any of us were because our brains were sloshing around our skulls in a pool of PBR and Ed Hardy Champagne, we were able to work off a lot of those calories on the dance floor.  Lucky for us, Reed Rothchild compiled a super official line-up of some of his dopest DJ friends to keep everything rage-tastic.

DC!!!

Once everyone was well-fed and on their way to optimal intoxication, DC’s Denman (Destination), Baltimore’s Uncle Jesse (Crossfaded Bacon) and James Nasty (Physical Education) built up the night to its pinnacle with some of their finest dubstep, moombahton, and Baltimore club tunes.  Then Baltimore’s King Tutt and Scottie B (Unruly Records), Keenan & Smudge (R&R), and Reed Rothchild himself straight killed the latter part of the evening with MOAR BANGERS.

Hopefully we’re all still alive next year to celebrate Reed Rothchild’s born-day with more gr33zy, fried foods.  But until then, keep your eyes on Head of Rothchild for more details about our forthcoming Internet Takeover.

AUGUST 5TH STEEZ PROMO presents MEGA featuring BOYS NOIZE

Got another big one coming up in DC the first week of August. The fellow bacon loving folks over at Steez were kind enough to ask have me be apart of MEGA. Last month’s MEGA popped off hard as fuck! Tickets for the last one sold out at the door so if you’re planning on going I suggest your order them online that way you can strut into Ibiza care free. Usually I don’t address negativity or people saying bad things about a venue but in this case I feel it’s necessary considering some of the issues that were had last time. The reason I want to address them is because they have been RESOLVED. The line issue has been FIXED. You will not be spending hours waiting in line.  Have to admit it was pretty crowded in there last month but that issue has been FIXED. They lowered the capacity by 500 people and are opening the newly remodeled rooftop. Last thing is the price of water. This issue has been FIXED. they lowered the price of water and you WILL NOT be paying $7 for  bottled water. That was the first time Steez had an event there and every issue has been addressed. I trust Steez enough to cosign on it about every concern being resolved and you should to. Now back to the reason why we come out to events, to HAVE FUN! Here is the line up and ticket information. Baltimore Winning Weekend

This weekend Baltimore Maryland will become “Baconmore” Maryland as we knock years off our life expectancy with a combination of Music, Food, and of course drinking. The festivities kick off Friday at Ottobar.  I’m hella excited to play with one of the staples in Baltimore club music, James  Nasty.  Also come out to see Destructshawn (I like what he did there) and Ponyo.  I can assure you just by the weekly Friday night tweeting that comes from Ottobar, this weekly is a fuckin beast.  I love how the flyer tells you to google “The Ottobar” for directions.

Saturday is going to be HUGE!  Steez Promo is debuting Bass Drop at Bourbon St. with Jack Beats headlining. James Nasty will be following me over holding the rooftop down with another one of my favorite dudes, King Tutt.  I’m really excited to be playing in the main ballroom with me best mates Uncle Jesse and Soohan.  Don’t sleep on Breakage either.  Can’t tell how much I’m loving coming down to Baltimore lately.  i’ve always had epic times just hanging out at these events so to be playing at them is even more fun.  If you see me this weekend, come say heyyyyyy.

OH SHIT! I almost forgot to tell you that I was added to the STARSCAPE MUSIC FESTIVAL lineup this year. Just, WOW. That’s all for now.

Get Ready BALTIMORE

For the first time in 6 years I stayed in on a Saturday night just to rest my liver up for this weekend. Well, I blew that off on Sunday getting shit tanked on the deck of Marvin then heading over to Velvet Lounge to act a fool for the Moombahton music video shoot. It was so crazy that cameras would only record sideways? Look at that pendejas in the wife beater jumpin around like a “Kansas City faggot”.

This weekend I get to be the DC ambassador to Baltimore starting Friday night at Ottobar with James Nasty. Did I mention I’m sneaking in a George Foreman Grill?

Saturday we take the traveling shit show to Bourbon St for the debut of Bass Drop. Holy Santa Claus Shit, this line up is HUGE. Jack Beats, Breakage, King Tutt, Uncle Jesse, James Nasty, Soohan, and a shit ton of other great DJ’s on 3 different areas of music.  If you know of any dope pig out spots around the Baltimore area PLEASE let me know.  GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY!

Just Announced! The Winner To Open For Tiesto IS……..

The winner is none other than DJ Who gives a shit because the only reason he got the gig is because he won a popularity contest on Facebook. This is probably the worst decision I’ve seen since Brett Favre decided to comeback but at least Brett had a shred more dignity before he left? So “ABC” Promoter brings Tiesto to DC for a US Tour even though the bama plays in Vegas all the time which shows you how up to speed Las Vegas is…. Here’s how the real joke is on all of the DJ’s who kept blowing up my Facebook and email begging me to vote for them so they can open for the epic white pants wearing rainbow douche when he comes to DC.

What the clueless contestants had to do is start a Facebook Event page to use as a voting poll. The person with the most “Attending” clicks is the winner. Of course you had to put in the event title “Vote [insert your name here] to play at Tiesto at Glow! Sat at DC Armory!” Regardless if a DJ wins or loses, he is sending that particular message out to all of his friends that Tiesto is coming to play in DC. So as the DJ’s are bending over backwards spamming people and begging friends to vote for them, their giving free promotion to “ABC” Promoter. On top of that the promoter can hawk all of the “attending” list for future promoting events on Facebook. What most of the DJ’s also don’t know is that this being done in every city that Tiesto is touring in. Same contest is going on in Chicago as it is here. Tiesto’s agency or even the clubs for that matter couldn’t give a fuck who is opening for him as long as they don’t stink up the joint. Here is the kicker. This thing could be rigged anyway. I read the rules off of the promoters website.

DETAILS:
*Winners are subject to approval by **** and Tiesto’s management.
*The winner will be required to submit a live, unedited demo mix for review.

If Tiesto management doesn’t like your demo then you’re fucking out.  All that whoring for nothing.  The winners still haven’t been announced yet but I think the whole thing smells like Epic Camel dick.  What I can’t figure out is why people still would still spend money to go see the dude.  It’s the same shit over and over.  The same Scatman remix along with awful train wrecking.  I don’t know how he gets away with it after all these years……

[vodpod id=Video.5872396&w=425&h=350&fv=%26rel%3D0%26border%3D0%26]

Tiesto Rocks, posted with vodpod

Thats just piss poor. All those people coming out to see him and he doesn’t even practice. Who does he think he is Allen Iverson? So enough free promotion for that event that will be held at the asshole of Washington DC and fingers crossed you even make it out alive in that neighborhood. On to better things now where you can Rage to music played this year by DJ’s who practice often and are releasing new music. No Train wrecking here…..

April 9th I’m doing a show in Baltimore with STEEZ Promo at Bourbon St. It’s a World Class line up with JACK BEATS headlining along with a performance from Breakage. I will be there waving the DC flag while team Baltimore: Uncle Jesse, King Tutt, James Nasty, and Soohan put on what has the feeling of being a memorable one to say the least.

The New Year’s Day Hangover Cure at U Hall

Saturday night is gearing up to be a fun one and I don’t even have to blow smoke up your ass about  it either even if I’m playing there.  A solid lineup of just about every DJ in DC so how can you go wrong?  So you went hard as fuck on New Years Eve, that tells me your between the ages of 18-25 No worries, your young just like Wolverine, your body heals fast so come on down once you wake up, go to the gym, and get things done around the house cause thats what you young kids do.  Now for those who are older, I myself is included in this 26 and up demographic are all probably going to sleep most of the day, maybe hit Taco Bell in the afternoon and be on the fence all day about going out since we drank too much Friday and as you know, we don’t recover as fast.  DONT WORRY, U Street Music Hall has got us covered.  The Club is giving away a free Pho Dog and a Bloody Mary and im not talking about Jesus’ wife.  So no matter what age you are, actually wait, fuck that could get us in trouble….If your 18 and up, grab your second wind and come down to Uhall Saturday night.  We’ll take care of the “Fun” part.  Bring your liver and dancing shoes.  I know you’re going to be there all night but here are the set times in case anybody is wondering.  See you there!
